Key Responsibilities:
• Educational Guidance: Facilitate the children’s educational progress, including assisting with homework, coordinating with school teachers, and providing additional tutoring in core subjects as needed.
• Developmental Support: Encourage the children’s intellectual, social, and emotional development through age-appropriate activities.
• Recreational Planning: Organize and participate in creative, educational, and physically active recreational activities.
• Cultural Exposure: Introduce and immerse the children in various cultural and linguistic experiences, respecting the family’s Indian heritage.
• Schedule Management: Maintain and manage the children’s daily schedules, including school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
• Safety and Welfare: Ensure the children’s safety and welfare at all times.
• Communication: Regularly communicate with the parents regarding the children’s progress, challenges, and accomplishments.
• Technology Usage: Utilize computer literacy skills for educational purposes and to maintain effective communication.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A focus in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in primary school teaching. Prior experience working as a live-in governor/governess with a family, preferably in the UAE, is essential.
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in computer literacy, including educational software and communication tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Personal Traits: The candidate should be patient, culturally sensitive, energetic, and creative, with a genuine passion for working with children.
